    Deep Diving

At Canadian Marine Contractors we strive to push the envelope of what is humanly possible. We do not shy away from complex jobs that involve deep diving. There are multiple ways to go about diving deep depending on depth and job required.

Nitrox diving can be used for depths between 50ft-110ft for longer bottom times compared to air diving though this has draw backs as it can't be used if the job requires heavy tooling or over exertion of the diver.

Surface Decompression on O2 is a great method used consistently by commercial air divers around the world offshore. It involves using a decompression chamber to do the diver decompression stops in a controlled environment and on O2 instead of air. This cuts down on the decompression time a diver has and allows for a longer bottom time. This method of diving is usually used in depths of 100ft-180ft.

    Coffer Dams

Cofferdams play a vital role in construction projects, and at Canadian Marine Contractors, we boast extensive experience in installing a variety of temporary structures. Whether it's robust cellular cofferdams or cost-effective box variants, we possess the expertise to tailor solutions to suit any project. With a fully equipped fabrication shop, we can craft customized cofferdams designed to enhance both efficiency and safety.

Ensuring safety takes precedence in cofferdam operations. Numerous  hazards accompany the installation and upkeep of an efficient cofferdam,  including ice flows, currents, vessel traffic, rock fissures, flood  occurrences, soil conditions, and beyond. Working within confined spaces  necessitates atmospheric monitoring and emergency response protocols  for crew members. At Canadian Marine Contractors, we possess expertise  in managing a spectrum of cofferdams, ranging from large-scale cellular  structures to smaller box-type variants. We tailor comprehensive safety  plans for each unique project to mitigate risks effectively.

Constructing and installing a cofferdam constitutes just one aspect of  the task. Equally imperative is upholding an efficient de-watering  strategy, essential for ensuring the safety and productivity of the  crews involved. The presence of effective seals and contingency  de-watering plans can significantly influence the outcome of a project,  determining its success or failure.
